The Dumfries & Stewartry CAMRA sub-Branch currently has about 120 members. As well as promoting CAMRA’s aims and campaigns, branches arrange activities for members, including visits to other Beer Festivals, Brewery visits and social evenings. including several pub quiz nights.

  1. •Successfully promoting the DUMFRIES Folk ‘n Ale FESTIVAL in 2012

  2. •Arranging the CAMRA BRANCH PUB OF THE YEAR and PUB OF THE SEASON Competitions in 2013

  3. •The production of the “REAL ALE GUIDE TO DUMFRIES & GALLOWAY” early in 2010 - with a revised edition printed in April 2012

Branch Officers & Committee

Unfortunately there were no nominations for the Branch Officers Posts or for the Committee at the 2012 Branch AGM which was held on 31st October.

A specially-convened meeting in January agreed to ask that the Branch becomes a sub-Branch of the Carlisle-based Solway Branch.  This has been approved in principle and we are waiting for confirmation of the arrangements.
