Dumfries sits firmly on the Robert Burns Scottish trail. Rabbie spent the last years of his life here before his death in 1796. A number of visitor attractions in Dumfries pay homage to our National Poet and his song and poetry.
“The Queen of the South” is an interesting town - especially for the real ale enthusiast. We have 11 pubs selling cask ale - all within a short walk of less than a mile. The Ale trail forms the basis for our now annual “Dumfries Foot Festival” which is held each Spring.
